Tears seem to seep out of my eyes without warning this week. I know it’s because over the past four days we’ve been ushered into His presence on a host of levels. Francis Chan, with passion, pleaded that we not forget the greatness of our Savior, he called us to repent and live wholeheartedly for the King. The messages all week have beckoned us to lean into Jesus, to worship Him and to exalt His great name. Mark Gauthier reminded us that “He is ALIVE!” Oh, Lord, open our eyes so we can see Your glory.
As I head into a full day the Lord brought me to Psalm 90:12-17,
12 Teach us to realize the brevity of life, (Time is fleeting)
so that we may grow in wisdom. (Oh how we need His wisdom)
13 O Lord, come back to us!
How long will you delay?
Take pity on your servants! (We need His mercy and the hope of His return!)
14 Satisfy us each morning with your unfailing love,
so we may sing for joy to the end of our lives. (I love this verse, I so want Him to be my satisfaction)
15 Give us gladness in proportion to our former misery!
Replace the evil years with good. (I long for this day.)
16 Let us, your servants, see you work again;
let our children see your glory. (Yes!)
17 And may the Lord our God show us his approval
and make our efforts successful.
Yes, make our efforts successful! (Please Lord, for Your glory)
Here come those tears again.
