“So the Lord must wait for you to come to him
so he can show you his love and compassion.
For the Lord is a faithful God.
Blessed are those who wait for his help…
He will be gracious if you ask for help.
He will surely respond to the sound of your cries.
The Lord waits and wants to show us His love and compassion…isn’t that what we’re all looking for? He loves us with rich, deep, deep love. Unload, fill His ear, let it all out. He’s faithful, ready, standing by, and He responds. He blesses us with help – which we so desperately need.
Though the Lord gave you adversity for food
and suffering for drink,
he will still be with you to teach you.
You will see your teacher with your own eyes.
We face adversity, in some form or fashion every day, all of which He uses to teach us that He’s with us. He’s not leaving. He will not abandon you or me. We’ve nothing to fear. If we open our eyes we’ll see Him.
Your own ears will hear him.
Right behind you a voice will say,
“This is the way you should go,”
whether to the right or to the left.” (Isaiah 30:18-21)
Did you catch what this verse is saying?
Oh to hear Him above the fray! We make so many important, often life-changing, decisions every day. He’s right behind us pointing the way. Let’s pray we’ll learn to recognize His voice.
“Lord, thank You that I’m not alone. Thank You for Your perfect love and unending compassion. Help me to fall into Your perfect embrace. Open my eyes that I may see you beyond my dirty window. May Your voice pierce through the chaos of my day. Grant me grace to recognize Your voice and follow.”
